The Staterooms

Coral Princess Stateroom Types and Categories
What does it mean when we talk about stateroom "types" and "categories" anyway?   Here is a brief outline of the "ins & outs" of a ship layout!

Stateroom Types:
Inside - a cabin with no windows to the outside; inside cabins are often the smallest cabins on the ship.
Outside - a cabin with a small window where you can see outside.  You'll either have a full-view or an obstructed view which means something is blocking a part of the window (ie. a lifeboat or other structure).
Balcony - a cabin with a balcony door that opens onto a small verandah... just imagine the warm Caribbean breeze flowing through your cabin.  The small verandah often contains at least one chair and a small table.

Stateroom Categories:
Each of these stateroom types - Inside, Outside and Balcony - are further split into "categories" which refer to their location on the ship, either in the aft (back), mid-ship (middle) or forward sections (at the front of the ship).

For our Square Dance cruise, we have blocked the following categories:
Inside IB = Located on decks 5, 10, 11 & 12 in the mid-aft section
Outside OW = Located on deck 8 (obstructed views, ie. lifeboat, etc.) in the mid-aft and mid-forward sections
Outside OC = Located on deck 5 (full ocean view) in the mid-aft and mid-forward sections
Balcony BC = Located on deck 12 in mid-aft and mid-forward sections
Balcony BB = Located on deck 11 & 12 in the middle section
